Abstract:

Food transformation: Transforming agri-food systems through science, innovation, and technology is essential to ensuring global food security and combating climate change.

The main objective: It's about promoting efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable models, minimizing environmental impact.

Advances in product transformation across various fronts such as agricultural production and biotechnology.

Processing: Processing technology allows for the creation of customized textures and shapes, optimizes ingredients, and reduces waste, while also considering agriculture and environmental control.

The initiatives: The initiatives, as we have discussed them, are complementary in ensuring global food security, but with different focuses and stages of development.

Precision Agriculture (Optimization of Presentation) is also seen, focusing on production with minimal use, reducing costs and environmental impact.

The transformation of agri-food systems is the change in how we produce, process, distribute, and consume food. The goal is to create fairer, more nutritious systems that do not destroy the environment, ensuring food for all and supporting the economy.

Transformations in agri-food systems involve several important actions:

• Sustainability and Climate: Adopting agricultural practices that protect forests, conserve water, and reduce the emission of polluting gases.

• Technology and Innovation: Using science to create new forms of cultivation and production, such as indoor farming and more nutritious foods.

• Support for Local Producers: Strengthening family farming and ensuring that producers have a fair income and access to good markets.

• Combating Waste: Improving food storage and distribution so that less food goes to waste.

In addition to meeting basic nutritional needs, the food industry seeks to provide variety, convenience, and quality in its products. Constant innovation in the sector aims to meet consumer preferences and promote food safety.

Food systems encompass all activities, people, and resources involved in the production, processing, transportation, distribution, consumption, and disposal of food. They reflect societal choices, shaping what reaches our plates, the price we pay, and the impacts this journey causes.

At the root of this situation is the triple monotony of agri-food systems—increasingly homogeneous agricultural landscapes, industrialized and genetically standardized animal production highly dependent on antibiotics, and diets marked by an excess of meat and the growing presence of processed foods.

Processed food products (also known as processed foods) offer advantages such as greater convenience in daily life, longer shelf life, and reduced waste. They also allow for a varied diet throughout the year and ensure protection against harmful bacteria through sterilization.
